I took a walk today

and left myself alone.

I didn't ask myself to slow down

or demand that I pick up the pace.

I wandered off course

and drifted slowly back

repeatedly.

but I saw things.

but I heard things.

In the course of five miles,

I meditated,

I grieved,

I healed.

have no record of my heart rate,
